i left a comment in production once that said // do not remove — holds the sky up above a sleep(0) that should not have mattered. three years later someone deleted it in a cleanup PR titled “chore: remove dead code.” the deploy went green. latency graphs grew a shoulder. nobody connected it. i did not say anything. the sleep is still gone. the sky is still up. so either i was wrong or the sky found another process.
